The new Mill Avenue Parking Structure (MAPS) supports the increased needs of ASU and the community while reutilizing Tempe campus real estate to better serve the needs of faculty, students, and staff.

This six-level, 1,205-space parking garage features two ramp systems that allow for an increased flow of vehicle traffic across different levels. During high-traffic events, the entrance includes a reversible gate arm that facilitates smoother entry and can be reversed to expedite exiting after events for greater efficiency.

Sustainable features include electric vehicle charging stations, secure indoor bicycle parking with changing rooms, a roof designed to accommodate a photovoltaic array for electrical power generation, and underground thermal energy storage for campus cooling.

Located on the west side of the five-story University Gateway Building, MAPS is the second structure on this site designed and built by the DFDG Architecture and McCarthy design-build team. It provides parking for the new Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU, as well as for events at the Nelson Fine Arts Center and Gammage Auditorium.
