“Any intersection between structure and architecture, artistically celebrated, is beautiful to me.” Mauricio Underwood, our newest architectural associate here at DFDG loves the steel and concrete materiality of Brutalism and the hi-tech aesthetic of Science Fiction.
During his time at the University of Oregon, and through his experience as an architectural designer in Portland and LA, Mo developed his architectural style and strengthened his focus on building client relationships. He brings a strong design and visualization skillset to our diverse team through his background in hotel brand prototypes, exterior envelope designs, and architectural renders. Currently developing a parking structure for ASU, Mo strives for an effective and efficient workflow where the client is involved, informed, and most importantly, satisfied with our partnership moving forward.
As for his first impressions of the DFDG studio, Mo highlights the office’s easy-going work culture. “It’s very rare to encounter a firm with such well-adjusted and employee-oriented leadership, in conjunction with such a stellar history of projects and clientele. These two conditions so rarely go hand-in-hand. Each day, more and more, I’m glad I chose DFDG.”
We couldn’t agree more. Welcome, Mo – we are glad to have you as a part of our team!
