The interior renovation of Bridget Hall focused on creating more useful, connected spaces for students while respecting the character of an existing campus building. Working closely with Chandler-Gilbert Community College, our team transformed underused areas into student-centered environments that support learning, gathering, and day-to-day campus life.
The project brought new life to the student lounge, academic hallway, library, and writing center, while reconfiguring classrooms to create private study spaces, student meeting rooms, staff offices, storage, and a grab-and-go pantry. New furnishings, lockers, storage cabinets, and whiteboards improved flexibility and function throughout the building, helping each space better serve the campus community.
A key goal for the renovation was creating a dedicated space for the Coyote Cupboard, a resource that provides free non-perishable food, household products, personal care items, school supplies, and other essentials for students and employees in need.
Glass storefront systems increased visibility into student meeting rooms and strengthened the connection between spaces, supporting another project goal of creating environments that feel open while maintaining security. Interior finish updates, including a carpet design with blue accents inspired by the college’s colors, added energy and reinforced the identity of the renovation.
The project also required close coordination during construction. When the scope changed to convert the existing cafeteria into a grab-and-go pantry before classes resumed, the team worked with the client and contractor to incorporate the revisions and keep the project moving.
This renovation was not about replacing one space with another. It was about making Bridgette Hall work better for the students who use it every day while respecting what was already there. The result is a renewed interior that feels purposeful, welcoming, and ready for campus life.
