One-on-One with Jim:

Do you have any hidden talents?

I once quit piano lessons, at the request of my piano teacher, so I guess music is not one of my talents. I do, however, enjoy singing along with the radio when no one is around. My children think I'm funny, but they have a warped sense of humor.

What do you like to do in your free time?

When I have free time, I enjoy heading to the lake to get some wakeboarding in with my family, or up to the mountains for a fierce day of downhill skiing.

How did you get into architecture?

I wanted to be a yacht designer, but there weren’t any colleges close by with that major (odd, I know) and I couldn't afford to go out of state. I knew I liked to build stuff, and I liked to draw, so I enrolled in architecture and loved it. I'd still like to design a boat or two — but just for fun.
